Naas firm in net deal

AN Irish web company has been appointed as the exclusive distributors of Skydog – a device to manage and monitor a family's internet use.

Web Safe Ireland, based in Naas, said that the device is a simple and affordable way for children to be protected.

A recent survey conducted by The Net Children Go Mobile Project found that although 54pc of Irish children use social networking websites, 21pc of all children surveyed have seen something online that made them feel uncomfortable.

Liam MacNamee from Web Safe Ireland said Skydog was a "simple device that filters and monitors content to all internet enabled gadgets in the home".
