He's known for playing David Hennessey in TV3's popular soap, Red Rock, but Dublin actor Adam Weafer has revealed that music was his first love.
Along with being a pro on set, the Cabinteely native is a keen singer/songwriter and has headed to New York for a month to play a string of gigs.
"I grew up in bands, playing instruments and writing my own stuff - it was my first initial love, to be honest," Adam told the Diary.
"I was in New York a couple of years ago playing some live gigs and I still have those contacts so I'm going to head over for the month and just have a bit for fun.
"Obviously I love acting, but to perform in front of a massive crowd in a stadium is really a dream."
Speaking at the premiere of Ted 2, the TV star admitted he's "itching" to get back to filming Red Rock.
"I was a bit lost for a week or two when shooting finished," he said. "We're not filming until September or October, but I'm itching to get back on set."
