THE funeral of Castleknock murder victim Tom O'Gorman will take place tomorrow.
Mr O'Gorman, a researcher, was found by gardai at his home at Beech Park Avenue, Castleknock.
An Italian, Saverio Bellante (34) who is from Palermo in Sicily and had been lodging with Mr O'Gorman, is accused of murdering him between January 11 and 12.
Mr O'Gorman's removal takes place this evening to the Church of Our Lady Mother of the Church, Castleknock, at 5.30pm.
The funeral mass is tomorrow at 11.30am followed by burial in Castleknock churchyard.
The deceased (right) is the brother of Catherine and Paul.
Bellante appeared in Cloverhill district court last week and was remanded in custody until next week.
At a previous sitting before Blanchardstown district court, Judge David McHugh heard he had replied to the charge after caution: "I am guilty".
Bellante is in the Central Mental Hospital and Judge Victor Blake heard there were psychiatric reports to be obtained.
State solicitor Rachel Joyce Joyce asked for the longest remand possible – two weeks – saying she did not think there was any possibility of the gardai having a full investigation file ready before that.
