A MOTHER of 10 celebrated winning almost €900,000 in the EuroMillions lottery at her local pub.
Susan Bailey, from Limerick city, collected her winnings of €875,321 earlier this week after her €9 quickpick ticket scooped second prize in last weekend's draw.
Mrs Bailey and her husband Jim celebrated in Jerry O'Dea's pub in Mulgrave Street, Limerick. after their numbers came in.
Mr O'Dea said: "They had a quiet celebration with neighbours and immediate family last Saturday night."
Mrs Bailey has refused to comment on her winnings.
"She wants to keep it low key enough about her good fortune," Mr O'Dea said. "I know them well. Susan is a hard-working woman, she has raised a lot of kids, so we are delighted to see a bit of luck come her way.
"She is very pleasant and is sociable, very friendly with her neighbours and is well respected in the community."
