Two people have been killed in separate road accidents overnight in Donegal and Limerick.
A 21-year-old man died when the car he was a passenger in hit a bollard at Carnashannagh, Burnfoot at approximately 11.30pm.
There were three men in the car at the time of the crash.
The victim who died was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardai say the 18-year-old driver, and other 21-year-old passenger, were injured and taken to Letterkenny General hospital for treatment.
Their injuries are described as non life threatening.
The body of the victim was was removed to the morgue at Letterkenny General hospital.
Gardai in Burncrana in Donegal are investigating the circumstances surroun ding the crash.
The road will be closed until at least lunchtime in order to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and diversions are in place.

Meanwhile gardai in Newcastlewest Co Limerick are investigating a fatal accident at Rathkeale in which a pedestrian in his 20s was killed when he was hit by a van.
The accident happened at approximately 3.30am at Blossomhill on the N21 Croagh to Rathkeale Road.
The victim's body remained at the scene this morning.
The male driver of the van and a female passenger, both in their late 20s, were uninjured in the accident.
The road is closed until at least lunchtime in order to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and diversions are in place.
