COMEDIENNE Deirdre O'Kane thinks third time is lucky for Moone Boy, as she has hinted there may be a movie in the pipeline.
The actress, who plays mother Debra Moone in the hit Sky 1 show, revealed that Chris O'Dowd's directing skills helped to make the third series the best yet.
Speaking at the world premiere of Moone Boy Series 3 at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, she said this series was "probably the best one we've done".
"When we shot it, it felt like a particularly special one, for me anyway," she said
"Chris directing it brought another level of excitement to it. He was incredibly good.
"I think the boys are very keen to make the movie."
While Deirdre hasn't met Chris' infant son Art, she has no doubt he'll be a natural when it comes to parenting.
"I don't think he wants any tips from me," she joked. "I must say, Chris has been dying to be a dad for as long as I've known him and he's incredibly good with kids."
Although Deirdre's 10-year-old daughter Holly also features as an extra in the show this season, which begins on March 2, she won't be following in her acting footsteps.
"I'm trying to put her off acting and it has kind of worked. She wasn't a bit impressed with being an extra, she found it very boring - so that's good," she said.
