They're best friends as well as being two of Ireland's most successful models.

The Dublin duo Thalia Heffernan and Holly Carpenter are practically joined at the hip whether they're on or off the catwalk and now the pair are jetting off on a girls' holiday together.

"We can't wait - we're both just dying to get away to the sun," Holly (23) told the Diary.

"We're going to Bulgaria and I've never been so it's something to look forward to."

She's had a tough week after discovering an anonymous imposter has been pretending to be her on dating app Tinder and also sending fake naked pictures of her, and Raheny native Holly admitted she's itching to get some sun.

"I haven't been away since last summer so I really can't wait to go now, especially with everything that has happened this week," she said.

It seems model pal Thalia (20) will be a good shoulder to cry on for the former Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model as she was hit by the same problem earlier this year.

While Holly was forced to get the gardai involved to help catch the culprit, Thalia's case was easier to resolve.

"My agency sorted it all out," the Ranelagh girl said.

"They managed to do a pretty good job contacting Tinder directly and it's good to know that if something like that does happen to us, it can be dealt with quite quickly."

Although Thalia has been linked to One Direction singer Niall Horan in the past and Holly previously had a high-profile relationship with Irish rugby star Cian Healy, the pretty pair are happily single.

"I used to use Tinder when I was living over in London but as soon as I got back to Ireland I deleted it," Holly said.

Work is top of Thalia's priorities and after modelling in Australia for three months, the 20-year-old recently admitted that she could move again.

"The UK is an option as it is so close to home, but travelling to Australia again could be in the future," she told the Diary.

"I don't know how soon though as it is so far away. I've been there already working for three months.

"Australia was amazing, although I'm sad I went in the winter months.

"I did New York when I was 18 and I guess I might do it again," Thalia added.
