Mobiles most called

IRISH consumers use mobile phones more than any other kind of communications device including landlines.

A total of 97pc of Irish people said that they use mobile phones regularly but just 69pc use landlines, according to ComReg's Consumer ICT survey for 2013, in research carried out by RedC.

The statistics identify that television ownership is at 95pc and 75pc said that they have laptops.

ComReg says household access to broadband now stands at 78pc, which includes respondents who receive broadband over mobile devices.
