MISSIONIrish firms to visit UK

REPRESENTATIVES from 55 Irish-based companies will join the Dublin Chamber of Commerce on a two-day business mission to London today. The event is the Chamber's largest ever international business mission.

Gina Quin, the Chamber's chief executive, said Irish businesses are always keen to engage with the wider business community, and the visit will include a reception at the House of Commons.

"It will provide them with the opportunity to engage with UK business leaders, seek new business opportunities and to network with their peers," she said. "Last year, a similar visit to Manchester resulted in one company establishing their UK office there, so these missions have a purpose."
