This is the moment a minor security incident occurred as a man was being transported by elite gardai to court to appear on serious criminal charges.
Alan Wilson was in the back of an unmarked garda car when it was hit by another vehicle as it crossed Luas tracks at Temple Street in Dublin city centre.
The incident happened yesterday morning as Wilson was being transported to appear in court along with three other men.
The car in which handcuffed Wilson was travelling received a "minor bang" to the front when another motorist "unwittingly" followed the unmarked garda car - which was in convoy with an armed support unit vehicle ahead of it - through the Luas junction.
Security sources say there was a "minor moment of concern" that the traffic incident was "in some way orchestrated".
However, gardai are now satisfied the incident was "at face value, just an accident".
Wilson, Liam Brannigan, Luke Wilson and Joseph Kelly were all charged with conspiracy to murder Gary Hanley (inset), from Dublin's north inner city, on dates between September 15 and November 6.
All four have been remanded in custody to appear at Cloverhill District Court on Thursday.
