Man's body with head injuries found at Meath house

Gardai are investigating the discovery of a body in Co Meath yesterday morning.

The body of a man in his 30s was discovered at a house at around 11.45am yesterday in Mooretown, Ratoath, Co Meath.

Gardai in Ashbourne were called to the home after the body was discovered.

The body was lying at the gable end of the house and had head injuries.

The body was taken to the morgue at Navan General Hospital where tests are being carried out.

A forensics team carried out a technical investigation at the scene.

A post mortem was carried out today and gardai are awaiting the results of further forensic tests.

The Garda Technical Bureau are carrying out forensic tests at the house and are expected to remain at the scene until tomorrow afternoon.
