Man with 'snow blow' had built up drug debt

A FATHER-of-two caught with €1,300 worth of 'snow blow' had built up a debt due to his own addiction, a court heard.

Gary Daly (25) was ordered to complete 240 hours of community service in lieu of four months in prison.

The defendant, of Rivermeade Drive, St Margaret's, admitted before Swords District Court to possession of PVP, also known as synthetic cocaine or snow blow, for sale or supply.

Garda David Smith said he obtained a search warrant and searched the defendant's home on November 16 last year.

During the course of the search, PVP with a street value of €1,300 was found as well as a digital weighing scales.

Defence lawyer Patrick Jackson said the defendant had a drug problem and had built up a small debt.
