A MAN was arrested for drunkenly waving a chair on the Liffey boardwalk in Dublin city centre.
Adam Kowalski (28) admitted charges of breach of the peace and public drunkenness at Dublin District Court.
Judge Michael Coghlan adjourned the case for a probation report.
Kowalski, of North Circular Road, pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive and insulting behaviour and public intoxication.
Gardai were called to the scene at 6pm on April 19 last and found Kowalski waving a chair in the air.
He was highly intoxicated and was verbally abusive to gardai. Kowalski's barrister asked Judge Coghlan to leave him without a conviction.
The judge remanded the defendant on continuing bail.
