A man was being treated in hospital today after being shot in an attack in Dublin late last night.
The 24-year-old victim was shot in the leg in the attack which happened at 10.45pm on St Vincent's Street West in Inchicore.
An ambulance was called and when the emergency crew realised they were dealing with a gunshot wound they notified gardai.
The victim, who is from the Tallaght area, was treated at the scene and then taken to St James's Hospital where his injuries were described as "not life-threatening".
Officers at Kilmainham Garda Station are investigating witness reports that the man was seen coming out of the nearby Goldenbridge Cemetery around the time of the attack.
Their investigations now centre on whether he was shot within the cemetery walls or on the street outside.
The scene of the shooting is close to St Michael's estate.
