Man faces trial on sotlen car charge

A DUBLIN man is facing trial accused of possession of a stolen car and destroying a document relevant to a garda investigation.

Richard Noonan (43) had the case against him adjourned at Blanchardstown District Court for the preparation of a book of evidence.

Mr Noonan, of Moorefield Lawns, Clondalkin is charged with possession of a stolen Volkswagen Passat and using false vehicle registration and NCT certificates.

The offences are alleged to have happened at Fonthill Road, Clondalkin on January 21 last.

He is also charged with destroying or disposing of a document relevant to a theft investigation.

The DPP is directing trial on indictment.
