A DUBLIN man has appeared in court accused of sexually assaulting a girl twice last year.
The 33-year-old accused is alleged to have carried out the assaults at unknown locations.
The offences are under the Criminal Law (Rape) Amendment Act.
Blanchardstown District heard the DPP was directing summary disposal of the case at District Court level on a guilty plea only.
This means if the accused is denying the charges, it will be sent for trial to Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
The defendant's solicitor said he was first seeking disclosure of prosecution documents. Judge David McHugh adjourned the case to a date in July.
