Man (70) cleared of harassment

A 70-YEAR-OLD Dublin man has been cleared of harassing his next door neighbour.

Martin O'Donnell with an address at Glengarriff Parade in the city's north-side had pleaded not guilty at Dublin District Court to a charge of harassment of Anthony Healy from May until August 2013.

The court had heard it was alleged the complainant had documented a number of incidents. It was alleged this included "banging at windows and doors at all hours of day and night". Judge Ann Ryan dismissed the case yesterday saying evidence documenting the alleged incidents had been neither preserved nor disclosed to the defence.
