Malala attackers get life sentences

A Pakistani court handed down life sentences to 10 individuals convicted of involvement in the 2012 attack on Malala Yousafzai, the youngest Nobel Peace Prize winner.

Yousafzai, now 17, was shot in the head by Taliban militants in 2012 for her campaign for girls' education, defying threats from the militants in her hometown.

She survived and, after treatment, she now lives in Britain with her family. For her struggle against illiteracy, poverty and terrorism, she won the Nobel Peace Prize.
