Magnet moves into UK

IRISH broadband company Magnet Networks has formally begun offering triple-play services in the UK.

The move comes after it acquired a 90pc stake in London-based broadband provider Velocity1 last year.

Magnet, which is owned by US-based Columbia Ventures Corporation, is using its shared services centre in Dublin to offer triple-play services of phone, TV and broadband internet in London.
