MAGIC SHOWS, TEA PARTIES, EGG HUNTS - IT'S AN EGGSTRAVAGANZA FOR EASTER

DUBLIN is set to be hopping this weekend as people crack into the Easter Bank Holiday.

From sport to chocolate to magic shows, there is something for everyone this weekend.

And for many, today was the start of a four-day break with 213,000 passengers expected to pass through Dublin airport before Monday.

The weekend will also feature events all over the city for children.

Joyce Dillon from Farmleigh House told the Herald that it's going to be a "family weekend, big time, at Phoenix Park".

"We've got magic shows, music, storytelling, and the big one: the Easter egg-hunt quiz," she said.

"A huge crowd is expected. It could range from 5,000 to 7,000."

And Mr Fluffy the Magic Rabbit will be making his presence felt during his magic show on Sunday.

The Mad Hatter's Tea Party in Phoenix Park tomorrow is free.

All of the characters from Alice In Wonderland will be partaking in the festivities, including the white rabbit with his egg hunt.

The only thing which could dampen the fun is the weather. Met Eireann has warned that most of the weekend will be cloudy and drizzly, with showers on Monday.
