TWO lucky Dubs were the toast of the town after being catapulted into Ireland's rich list with a massive €8m Lotto win.
The overwhelmed pair – who bought their winning ticket on the day of the draw – arrived at the National Lottery Head Offices yesterday to pick up their winnings.
Officials said they wish to remain anonymous for now.
The huge win for Dublin's newest millionaires saw them pocket a cheque for a cool €8.1m.
But with the good news still sinking in, the winners said they have no definite plans for the windfall.
"We can't believe our luck," said one of the duo over a glass of champagne.
The winning syndicate of two bagged the top prize in Saturday's Lotto draw.
The pair bought their winning ticket at Tesco in Wicklow Shopping Centre on the day of the draw.
Customer services staff members at the winning store, who were working at the time, celebrated the sale of the big-money ticket.
The jackpot had been rolling since Saturday November 30 and included a €1m top-up to celebrate Christmas.
Just last September, the same Tesco in Wicklow sold a EuroMillions ticket worth €272,629.
