FAIRY seekers in Lucan are in for a treat with a new trail in the Lucan Demesne.
Seventeen woodland fairies have moved into the park and they want visitors.
The 2.5km trail is a free activity for families.
Parents can use their smartphones to scan the doors and find out more about each fairy who lives there.
The new Mayor of South Dublin, Sarah Holland, opened the trail last Friday.
"The best thing about it is that you're exercising your kids without them even realising it," she told the Herald.
"It's free and it's a really nice idea to feed their imaginations.
"The kids who were with us there to open it up were so excited about it, despite the rain," she added
The Irish Fairy Door Company provided the magical doors - which previously featured on the Late Late Toy Show.
The trail is the third one to be opened in the area.
Corkagh park in Clondalkin and Tymon Park in Tallaght both have enchanted fairy trails too.
