An investigation is underway after a window shattered on a Luas tram today covering passengers with broken glass.
The tram had pulled out of the Beechwood Green Line Luas stop shortly before 8.30am when a window on a door beside the driver was suddenly shattered.
Shocked commuters were hit by fragments of the window but no one was injured. Passengers were evacuated at the next stop in Ranelagh.
A spokeswoman for the tram company said that they are carrying out an investigation into the cause of the incident.
