Locals worry children's hospital will ruin 'scape

ThIS is what the new children's hospital in Dublin -- and locals worry it will be 'a monstrosity' on the cityscape.

The photomontage shows how the building will "completely overpower the north inner city and dominate the city's skyline", according to An Taisce spokesman Ian Lumley.

"Anyone can see it will be a monstrosity," he said.

An Taisce and the local Blend Residents' Association had lodged objections by yesterday's deadline. An oral hearing on the €650m hospital is due in December or January.
