Lisa teams UP with major label in design makeover

TV stylist Lisa Fitzpatrick is to undergo her biggest makeover yet – as a designer.

The Dublin fashionista is teaming up with a well-known UK label for her first collaboration.

Mum of two Lisa is currently in talks with design label Bastyan with a view to having the collection ready for later this year.

"I've worked with them for years, but this is my first time to design a range with them so I am very excited," she told the Herald.

"It will be 'Bastyan with Lisa' and we are hoping to have it ready for autumn/winter 2014, but if not it will be 2015."

Bastyan, a luxury collection designed for women, is available online for Irish customers and has concessions in upmarket department store Brown Thomas.

While Lisa has worked closely with the label for the last four years, she is looking forward to putting her own stamp on a design collection.

"I've worked in manufacturing before and we used to supply Dunnes Stores, A-Wear, Sasha and other stores so that side of things isn't new to me," she said.

"But I'm looking forward to picking pieces that I think people will love."

While the date for the collection is still under discussion, the 41-year-old said she wants a label that is aimed at autumn/winter.

"It will be 16 pieces and I want a really good capsule collection, full of tailored pieces, high-quality knitwear, a good winter coat and accessories."

The stylist said that she couldn't wait to get back to work following a "long" Christmas break and has several literary and TV projects lined up for 2014.

Lisa's just finished her latest book and it will be out in May.

The book will chart her journey from a size 18 and she is also continuing to work across the water on hit ITV breakfast show This Morning.

"I am also back on TV3's Ireland AM with my style clinic so I am really enjoying work right now," Lisa said.
