Li Ann to take catwalk by Storm thanks to her supermodel deal

MOVE over Cara Delevingne, this Irish teenager is working her way towards model stardom.

Greystones beauty Li Ann Smal has been tipped for the top after she was snapped up by London model agency Storm.

One of the most prestigious agencies in the world, Storm has the likes of supermodel Kate Moss and British golden girl Cara on its books.

Li Ann was signed by the UK agency three months ago and has already enjoyed a number of high profile jobs across the water.

FUTURE

The 19-year-old, whose mother hails from Malaysia, is due to appear in fashion bible Vogue's China edition after shooting for their February/March issue.

She has also been featured on Italian Vogue online and is due to appear in Elle Girl Japan as well as enjoying spreads for fashion brands ASOS and Puma.

Li Ann has been modelling full-time since completing her Leaving Cert last summer and has been represented here by Distinct Model Management for the last two years.

"Li Ann is a regular on the catwalk in Ireland, but her profile is getting bigger and bigger in the UK after signing for Storm," her Irish model agent Anne Morgan told the Herald.

"She has a great editorial look and is naturally very pretty, but also very edgy."

"She is going to continue to work as much as she can in the UK and they are getting very excited about her," added Anne.

Li Ann first came to attention in Ireland as a regular on the catwalk for fashion houses Brown Thomas and Arnotts.

She is currently in Asia where she spent the Christmas break with her family and is due home later this week.

"She will return to London at the end of the month for London Fashion Week castings," explained Anne.

EDUCATION

Despite her burgeoning success, Li Ann still has her sights set on attending college and is currently enjoying a gap year.

She is not the only young Irish model who is proving popular with some of the world's biggest agencies.

Celbridge teenager Eve Connolly is preparing for another stint on the runway at next month's Paris Fashion Week.

The 18-year-old, who also completed her Leaving Cert last summer was signed by Paris based agency City Models.

Eve started the New Year on the cover of magazine, Women's Wear Daily, which was shot in Paris and she returns to France for fashion week castings early next month.
