Kenmare shares fall

SHARES in Kenmare Resources had tumbled as much as 6pc yesterday in London trading after the exploration firm reported first half operating losses and flat revenues.

The company reported an operating loss of $17.m (€13.5m) for the six months to the end of June, down significantly from the $6.9m profit it posted during the same period last year. Michael Carvill, managing director (right), said revenues have remained broadly flat as higher sales volumes have been offset by a reduction in product pricing.
