Kelly's proves it's Ireland's favourite hotel

ONE of the best-loved hotels in the country is celebrating being crowned Ireland's Best Overall Hotel.

Kelly's of Rosslare, renowned as much for its friendly staff as its extensive facilities, has been a Dublin family favourite for generations.

Now at the prestigious National Hospitality Conference and Awards at the Four Seasons in Dublin, Kelly's scooped the top prize.

It's the second major accolade for the hotel and spa in recent weeks. It also recently won Georgina Campbell's Ireland Hotel Of The Year 2011 award.

"We are thrilled," said owner and general manager Bill Kelly.

"One big win is an honour but two in the same year is an incredible achievement. Kelly's Resort is run by a dedicated and loyal staff and I am so delighted to be returning to Rosslare this evening with this amazing award."

The hotel has long been a magnet for families from Dublin and other parts of the country. Even in recessionary times, families flock there for the fine dining, children's activities and the sports and spa facilities, which include an infinity pool.

Mr Kelly has repeatedly praised his staff for the hotel's continued success.

Kelly's even boasts an extensive art collection including works from Scottish-born artist William Crozier, who died earlier this year.
