Robbie Keane has been ruled out of Ireland's upcoming friendlies with England and Georgia because of club commitments.
The Football Association of Ireland said Robbie will be unable to join up with the squad for the match against England which will be played in Wembley on May 29 and Georgia, which is due to be played in the Aviva Stadium on June 2.
The 32-year-old striker will, however, return to the Irish squad for the World Cup qualifier with the Faroe Islands on June 7 and the friendly with Spain in New York four days later.
SUICIDE AT ALTAR IN NOTRE DAME
A man has shot himself dead at the altar of Notre Dame cathedral, forcing police to evacuate tourists from the 850-year-old Paris monument.
It's the first suicide in decades at the landmark site, rector Monsignor Patrick Jacquin said.
"It's unfortunate, it's dramatic, it's shocking," he said. The motives for the suicide, and the contents of a letter he left at the altar, were unclear."
Police officers closed the cathedral to the public and were investigating. It is highly unusual for the cathedral, visited by 13 million people from around the world every year, to be evacuated.
