Kathryn Thomas and her other half Padraig McLoughlin were among 7,500 runners who took part in Dublin's Rock 'n' Roll half marathon.
After crossing the finish line, the Voice of Ireland presenter tweeted "made it", adding: "Ankles and Achilles in need of a cold bath and a cold pint."
She later told the Herald she's training for the full marathon later this year, and only decided to compete in yesterday's race 10 days ago.
With various bands playing along the course, Kathryn said: "There was a great atmosphere and the music helped to keep you going."
The 13.1 mile race took in the quays, Christchurch, the Guinness Brewery, the Royal Hospital Kilmainham and the Phoenix Park.
Scott Overall was the first over the finishing line with a time of 01.05:19. Participants from 47 countries took part in the run in aid of the Special Olympics.
