K Club cash row settled

TWO businessmen who bought an investment property at The K Club just before the 2006 Ryder Cup have agreed to pay almost €18,000 in unpaid service charges.

Bessilton Holdings Ltd and Karsavina Management Ltd, Straffan, Co Kildare, had sued former K Club Director of Golf Paul Crowe and Cork accountant Finbarr Buckley, for €17,730 in the Circuit Civil Court yesterday.

Crowe, of Oyster Circle, Oyster Point, Temple Road, Blackrock, Co Dublin, and Buckley, of Buckley and Co Chartered Accountants, Floor 2B, 6 Lapps Quay, Cork, were described in a civil bill as joint owners of 757 Ryder Cup Village, The K Club, Straffan, Co Kildare, an apartment they bought in 2004.

Barrister James Phillips, counsel for Bessilton Holdings and Karsavina Management, told the court the claim had been settled and the proceedings could be listed for mention before Mr Justice Matthew Deery, on May 3 next to allow implementation of the settlement.
