INTERNATIONAL insurer Ironshore Group is to establish a European base in Dublin with the creation of seven jobs.
The Bermuda-based company will handle as much as €75m in complex risk business in its first year.
And the group said that it anticipates staff numbers will increase as the company grows.
Ireland was selected because of it being a "well-regulated, business-friendly . . . environment", a spokeswoman said.
Parent company Ironshore has capital of $1.7bn (€1.3bn) and already sells from Bermuda, the UK, Canada and the United States.
