Jobs boost at Eli Lilly

PHARMACEUTICAL giant Eli Lilly will bring a further 100 high-end jobs over the next year.

The group will immediately begin recruiting for the financial jobs at its centre in Cork city.

Eli Lilly, which is among eight of the world's top 10 pharmaceutical firms based in this country, started manufacturing pharmaceuticals in Dunderrow, Kinsale, Co Cork, in 1981.

The jobs will be based at the European financial services centre in Cork city and employees will provide general accounting activities.

Minister for Trade and Commerce, Billy Kelleher welcomed the announcement.
