January quiet for break-ins

In Finglas, January was a quiet month for burglaries with gardai seeing a significant decrease in incidences compared with November and December of 2014.

There were a total of just seven reported burglaries in the Finglas area for the month of January, when there had been 16 detected in December of last year.

There were, however, just 11 incidences of criminal damage in the area and six public order offences during the first month of 2015.

Gardai also recorded three incidences of assault.

In terms of the illegal drug trade, gardai reported that they detected five cases of possession of controlled substances and there were two cases of persons attempting to sell and supply banned drugs.
