jacko pays tribute to 'fantastic' team-mate

THERE have been many tributes to BOD, but even he probably wasn't expecting plaudits from Michael Jackson – no, not that one.

This Michael Jackson, the director of Blackrock College RFC and cousin of Ireland fly-half Paddy Jackson, spent a season at the club with BOD before he moved on.

"I played 12 and he played 13," the 40-year-old (inset) told the Herald. "The lads used to give me an awful time and say that if O'Driscoll could catch my passes, he would be able to catch anyone's passes."

Michael said BOD made a brilliant contribution to the team, but had to give up due to his commitment to Leinster.

"He was fantastic," added Michael who will be at the game tomorrow. "It was the start of professionalism so we only got him some of the time.

"But if he is available for next year, that would be great."
