MODEL Nadia Forde has described her time on I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! as a “rollercoaster” after she became the second celeb to be voted out of the Australian jungle.
“I didn’t know what to expect. It’s just been incredible,” the 25-year-old model said about her time on the reality TV show.
“Every day is such a rollercoaster,” she told hosts Ant and Dec in her first interview after being evicted on a public vote.
“It just makes me appreciate everything on the outside so much more. I can’t wait to see everyone at home and go back to Ireland. I’m delighted. I’m so happy.”
She was the second contestant to be evicted from the camp following a public vote. On Monday, former footballer Jimmy Bullard became the first shock eviction from the camp.
“I can’t believe I’m sitting here with you guys,” Nadia told the TV presenters. “The days are long in the jungle, and when you are in the slammer if feels like a week.”
She also described the lack of food and the tasks that contestants had to complete to receive a small portion of food. “You were like doing a million steps for half an apple,” she laughed.
She told how she faced some of her fears in the jungle, including being buried with rats.
As she was leaving the jungle, Nadia said that she thought former UK junior health minister Edwina Currie could win the series.
“I think Edwina could do it. I think she’s strong,” she said. However she added that she thought that Jake Quickenden might also have a chance.
She described Jake as “a sweetheart,” but downplayed the possibility of any future romance after they kept audiences guessing as to whether they would get together.
Nadia entered the jungle Down Under with, among others, The Only Way Is Essex star Gemma Collins, actress Vicki Michelle, newsreader Michael Buerk, TV host Melanie Sykes and Coronation Street’s Craig Charles.
