Last weekend I was on The Saturday Night Show to talk about my book which I like to describe as "part memoir, part rant" about growing up to be a drag queen in a changing Ireland.

The last time I was on the show I ended up inadvertently causing quite a kerfuffle, so there was a bit of tension around my appearance, but it all went smoothly - I think!

I joked to Brendan that "it feels like it's only been five lawyers since I saw you last".

I wore a red sequinned dress for the show and like all drag queens I draw power from my hair, so I wore it really big on the night.

I went on the show as Panti because she's more fun and more interesting.

That's one of the good things about doing drag, you have this public persona and a private one.

I got a kick out of meeting internet hero Mattress Mick at the show and made sure I got a picture with him!

Donal Og Cusack, whom I admire very much, was on the show too and afterwards we went for a drink in Pantibar and I sent him home with a hangover.
