A holiday company which specialised in packages to Tunisia has announced it is shutting down, just over a month after a radical Islamic gunman killed 38 tourists there.
The Commission for Aviation Regulation (CAR) yesterday said it had been advised by Just Sunshine Ltd that it had ceased trading and will not be in position to honor its contractual commitments.
The commission said it has revoked the company’s license and will be calling down its bond. There are no customers currently abroad with Just Sunshine Limited.
The company had previously decided to cancel its entire programme from Dublin to Tunisia in the wake of the attacks, which occurred in the coastal town of Sousse.
It said it would be refunding all customers within 21 days.
CAR said any passengers who had outstanding bookings may be entitled to claim a refund from the bond held by the commission.
Customers who made a booking through a Travel Agent are advised to contact them directly without delay.
Just Sunshine had a registered address at 27 Merrion Square North in Dublin 2. It did not respond to efforts to contact it last night.
