Insurance profit dips

THE Dublin-based insurance company that lists former Tanaiste Mary Harney as its director saw pre-tax profits fall by 15.5pc last year to €33.5m.

Euro Insurances said that revenues at the group declined by 29pc from €208m to €146m in the year.

The former health minister is one of five board members on the Dutch-owned firm.
