A GRENADE attack in a bar near Mombasa, Kenya, has killed one person and wounded many others.
Kenya has seen several small-scale grenade attacks since the country sent troops to Somalia in October.
The latest attack came only hours after Kenyan officials protested against a US Embassy travel advisory released that warned of an imminent attack in Mombasa.
Local media said 12 were wounded.
Two missing in train crash
Three Union Pacific Railroad crew members were missing after two freight trains collided in Oklahoma.
An eastbound train carrying vehicles and a westbound train crashed near Goodwell.
A two-person crew was on board each train, and officials were unable to account for two engineers and a conductor.
The westbound train had three locomotives and 80 railcars that were carrying motor vehicles.
Gang violence in Jamaica up
Police and soldiers are conducting a security operation in a volatile slum in Jamaica's capital as gang violence escalates.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force says a shootout between rival gangs in the rough Kingston neighbourhood of August Town resulted in the killings of two men. At least two others have been injured.
Police identified the dead men as Rohan Simpson and Moses Francis.
Protests over Mexico vote
The front-runner in Mexico's July 1 presidential elections has rallied tens of thousands of supporters at his first mass campaign event in the country's capital.
Enrique Pena Nieto is running for the Institutional Revolutionary Party, which governed Mexico for 71 years until 2000. His candidacy has sparked protests in the capital, which is governed by the leftist Democratic Revolution Party.
An anti-Pena Nieto protest filled the city centre, as thousands marched against what they said would be a return to the authoritarian past.
