IMF gives e0.95bn aid

THE IMF completed its tenth review of Ireland and has disbursed a further €0.95bn in aid.

This brings the total received from the fund to about €20bn since December 2010. The overall financing package amounts to €85bn.

The IMF said that the Irish economy grew modestly for the second year in 2012 and said there were positive signs of a 1pc increase in employment within the first quarter of 2013.
