I'm walking around bawling with pride over Brian – Amy

ACTRESS Amy Huberman was quickly back on parenting duty after her hubby received The Freedom of the City of Dublin.

Amy said she couldn't control her emotions as her other half, legendary rugby player, Brian O'Driscoll, was recognised by his home town.

It comes just days after the number 13 bowed out of international rugby after a Six Nations title for Ireland.

"All these hugely important things are happening and he's keeping the head while I'm walking around the house bawling my eyes out and saying, 'It's all so lovely'," she told The Herald. "My pride levels have gone through the roof."

Although BOD was able to soak up the event, Amy had to leave early to relieve the babysitter and prepare for filming.

O'Driscoll and Father Peter McVerry became the 77th and 78th people to be awarded the Freedom of the City, joining an illustrious list including Charles Stuart Parnell, John F Kennedy, Aung San Suu Kyi and Louis Le Brocquy.
