Actress Aoibhin Garrihy has swapped her high-heels for hiking boots as she continues her gruelling trek to Everest base camp.
Clearly a lady who likes a challenge, the super-fit former Fair City star is currently high up in the Himalayas with her hotelier husband John Burke as he attempts to scale Everest.
The Dancing With The Stars finalist hinted that she would never have been able to do it without taking part in the hit show beforehand, as it has elevated her fitness levels so much.
Aoibhin went to base camp several years ago but admitted that she found it incredibly tough, as she struggled with altitude sickness.
"I've managed to dance my way to 3,900 metres so far. Another 1,400 to go, never felt stronger on the hills, all thanks to DWTS," she said.
The actress shared a photo of herself against a stunning mountainous backdrop as she keeps her followers updated on her progress.
Her entire trip is expected to take about three weeks.
Once she reaches base camp, she will stay a night or two while John settles in, before flying back home.
Her other half will stay on in the hope of getting a "weather window" during the start of May, which will allow him to scale the mountain.
He wants to become the first Clare man to climb to the top of the peak, which stands at 29,000 feet high, while also fundraising for a youth mental health organisation.
The couple wed last year.
