I'll tell it as it is in my new column, reveals Yvonne

THE stresses and strains of the past year have had little affect on Yvonne Keating.

In fact the new cover of VIP magazine will have many people agog at just how well the 38-year-old looks.

With a hint of a slight air-brushing the wife of Boyzone's Ronan hasn't looked this good in years - and she has become the face to help relaunch VIP.

Now the mum-of-three, who twice last year announced that her marriage to cheating husband Ronan was over, will be sharing her beauty secrets with readers of VIP magazine.

And in keeping in tune with these recession-straitened times, the former model dons a 12-year-old top for this week's magazine cover.

Delighted VIP bosses have snapped up the glamorous mum-of-three as beauty columnist for the glossy, which will now be printed fortnightly.

Editor Elaine Prendeville said they believe Yvonne is a woman "readers were interested in, admired and trusted".

In her first column, Yvonne tells readers how she always loves trying out new beauty products.

While most of us are used to seeing a polished and stylish Yvonne on the red carpet, she admits she is most comfortable in her "favourite sweater and biker boots".

And even though she travels often with her husband, who is currently in Australia filming X Factor, it's the little things that please her the most.

"And mastering a Jamie Oliver recipe that never fails? That's the kind of thing that makes my day," she said.

The former model also admits that finding something that works for her in terms of style is an "ongoing mission".

She also promises readers to "tell it like it is".

Editor Elaine told the Herald: "Yvonne Keating was our first, and the perfect choice. We were thrilled when she agreed to come on board as our regular columnist.

"She's had a huge involvement in the look, feel and tone of her VIP column.

"She researches fashion trends thoroughly, loves sharing the contents of her iPOD and has trawled magazines and the internet to identify her ultimate finds. I think her approach to looking and living well will surprise some readers.

"She's a big believer in customising clothing, loves bargain beauty products and gets excited about a great Jamie Oliver recipe. Her life is a varied one and her VIP column reflects this."
