IDA loses 2,500 jobs

COMPANIES backed by the IDA have racked up losses of 2,500 jobs a year between 2008 and 2011, new figures show.

Jobs Minister Richard Bruton admitted that IDA-supported companies had lost 10,000 jobs between 2008 and 2011.

In response to a question from Sinn Fein's Martin Ferris, Mr Bruton outlined that the IDA created 34,579 jobs between this period, but at the same time 44,650 jobs were lost.
