I WON'T BE THE NEXT CATWALK QUEEN, SAYS MODEL THALIA

Fashion bosses, photographers and even fellow models love her.

But Thalia Heffernan has no plans to become a catwalk queen in London and New York.

The 18-year-old, who is currently signed to four different agencies across the world, said fashion bosses across the water feel she is best suited as a commercial model.

And the striking blonde wholeheartedly agrees the high fashion world isn't for her.

"I think I am more commercially placed abroad," Thalia told the Herald.

So don't expect her be strutting her stuff on the catwalk for some of the world's biggest fashion weeks next month, but do expect to her see fronting some high-profile fashion campaigns, including the Brown Thomas spring collection.

Thalia is just back from London where she shot for online fashion chain Misguided. As well as Ford in New York, Thalia is also signed to Premier Model Management in London, Morgan The Agency in Dublin and another in Hamburg.

With early wake-up calls and constant travelling, the international modelling industry can be a tough cookie, as Thalia now knows. "The whole novelty of it does wear off a little bit when you are in the airport and all the shops are closed and you have nothing to do . . . I really do love it still," explained the Ranelagh native.
