Hozier is planning to make waves in 2017 - as he builds his own swimming pool with a retractable roof in what will become his luxury retreat in Wicklow.
The chart-topping singer has turned his attentions towards creating the dream home for himself near the picturesque town of Newcastle as he splashes some of his hard-earned cash on a historic house.
Dating back to the 18th century, Oldfort is set to be transformed by the popular singer after he was given the green light by Wicklow County Council for a raft of changes to the country house.
Last year, he forked out nearly €800,000 for the four-bedroomed house and plans to nearly treble its size to almost 625 sq metres.
The picturesque property comes with a separate mews area and sits on nearly 10 acres of land and won't be too far from his native home of Bray.
The Take Me to Church star also wants to add an underground swimming pool, complete with a retractable roof for those sunny days in Ireland.
The privacy-conscious star also hopes to raise the height of the walls to two metres as he sets about creating his perfect property.
He said in a recent interview how he was considering a move to New York but he's chosen to stay in the countryside as he has "too much work to do".
The renowned singer is currently working on his second album and is receiving acclaim for his latest single Better Love.
