Hozier could be coming to your local...

It's been a busy summer for Bray native Hozier and now he could be playing at a pub near you.

Earlier this summer, Guinness unveiled a music programme called Guinness Amplify, where acts will perform surprise gigs at pubs around the country.

Following his stellar performance on Electric Picnic's main stage last weekend, Andrew Byrne, aka Hozier (below), is delighted to be a part of the event.

"Starting out as a musician can be daunting," he said.

"All you want to do is play to as many people as possible but that can often be a tough task.

"I'm really looking forward to playing as part of the line-up in the coming weeks," he added.

The star studded line-up already includes the likes of Kodaline, Ellie Goulding, Disclosure, Bastille, Rudimental, Duke Dumont and London Grammar.

Over 800 acts applied online and publicans all over Ireland have started selecting bands to perform at the live pub gigs which will take place throughout September and October.
