House prices up 13.3pc in a year

DUBLIN property prices were 13.3pc higher last month than the same time last year, the Central Statistics Office has said.

But prices in the capital still fell by 0.6pc in February, the second month in a row.

National property prices increased by 8.1pc in the year to February. It was the ninth month in a row that prices rose across the country when compared with last year.

In February itself, prices were up 0.1pc compared with a 0.7pc decrease in January and a 1.5pc slip in February of last year.

Prices outside the capital were up 4.2pc in February, the second month in a row that prices rose when compared with last year.
