Mrs Brown's Boys may have beaten Eastenders into the second slot in the Christmas TV ratings but there was no drama between its stars when Adam Woodyatt, who plays Eastenders Ian Beale, came to see Rory Cowan in the Cinderella panto at The Tivoli theatre on Sunday night.

Adam (inset) is good friends with Rory and the panto was recommended to him by Brendan O'Carroll when he presented him with the Writers Guild of Great Britain award at the British Comedy Awards.

Following the performance, Adam celebrated in style with Rory, Karl Broderick and Alan Hughes at the Trocadero Restaurant on South Andrew Street.

Adam is known to be a huge panto fan and even collects panto memorabilia and scripts and believes panto has a huge responsibility for creating lifelong theatre-goers.

A host of other celebs have been along to Cinderella including Gay Byrne, Michele McGrath, Joe Duffy and Nadia Forde.

The show has been such a success that extra shows have been added and the panto will now run until Sunday January 18 2015.
